Signs our dog loves us
Unfortunately, our doggos can’t speak to us verbally to speak up their mind, we can only understand their feelings through reading their body language. There any many things our doggo do when they’re hungry, afraid, excited, and such but wouldn’t it be wonderful to see signs of our doggos love to us?
Here are the signs that we might be missing out when our furry ones say “I love you”.
Leaning against you
Our doggos have different reasons why they lean against us. He may be feeling anxious, want a cuddle, or simply just wants to be near you but for whatever reason, that is, when a doggo leans against you, it means that he feels safe and secure around you which means you have earned his trust which also indicates that he loves you.
Very excited when you return home
The moment we step out of our houses is an immediate sad moment for our doggos. Along with this is the glorious moment when we return home. Our doggos will greet us with the warmest welcome like you’ve been gone for years and though that you’re never coming back when in fact you just left for a few hours. It’s very entertaining to watch them jump up and down and see their tails continuously wagging with their face all happy. It’s a sure sign of your doggo’s love.
Gives you the look of love
We all feel giddy when our doggos make direct eye contact with us. It has always been a challenge and most of the time forbidden to look at unknown doggos directly into their eyes as they might take it as a sign of an attack. When our doggo makes direct contact with you, it means that you are important to him. When you both exchange loving gazing moments, you both release oxytocin, which makes the both of you feel great and strengthens your relationship and bond.
Eyebrow and Ear Movement
Our doggos communicate mostly through body language and moving his eyebrow and ear also indicate a sign of love. When our doggo raises his eyebrow (mostly the left one) and moves his left ear back, it shows that they love us. It may be their very own sign language of saying I love you.
Gives you a flashing doggy smile
When our doggos smell our scent, it makes them happy and excited. They would usually run towards us and flash us their best doggy smile. You can tell if they are just open mouths or a smile flashing right at you and when you are confident that it’s a smile, it’s a response that your dog loves you dearly.
Steals Your Stuff
As surprising as this sounds, when dogs steal your stuff it means that they love you. Usually, our things are covered with our unique scent which our doggos love because they just can’t get enough of you. They would usually steal our shirts, sweatshirts, towels, socks, or even our handy hankies it’s because these are the things where our scents are most attached to.
Our doggos have different ways of saying ‘I love you’. It might also be a single lick to your face which is such a heart-warming moment (also sticky!) but whatever it may be, it’s important to return the love your doggos give you for their love is irreplaceable.
